ABOUT PINEVILLE ::
There is a charming suburb 12 miles outside of the Charlotte, North Carolina real estate area called Pineville. Pineville is a quiet little community best known for its historic birthplace of our 11th President James Knox Polk. In 1873, Pineville became an incorporated municipality and in 1900, the town had a population of 585 with ten stores, two bar rooms and an average sale of six thousand bales of cotton from the surrounding farms. Today there are only 3,600 bales harvested from the entire Mecklenburg County. Pineville also became a large mule trading center and an important credit market thanks to a blacksmith named Sam Younts. Younts moved from Davidson and made a fortune in the credit industry.
Pineville has a mild, year round climate and being close to Charlotte, it has all the great schools, shopping and lots of recreation.
